Please join Cornell Real Estate Council members and guests for lunch. Cornell alumnus and Lifetime Emeritus Trustee, Curtis Reis will moderate a discussion with a panel of Cornellians who have made bold moves to create new business opportunities.
Steve Bloom founded RENTV.com in 1998, and later formed Sublease.com, following a nine-year brokerage career with Cushman & Wakefield and CRESA Partners on LA’s Westside. Earlier, he worked for Forest City Ratner Companies in New York City, Steve’s hometown. After graduating from Cornell, Steve received his MBA from USC.
Greg Geiger was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management before joining Westport in 2006. Earlier, he was Vice President in the TCW Special Credits real estate group for eleven years. Greg spent two years with Julien J. Studley, Inc. and six years with Langdon Rieder Corporation, a Los Angeles-based consulting firm. Greg holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Real Estate Finance from UCLA.
Richard Stearns is founder and principal of Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage. He has represented residential real estate clients since 1991 when he joined the Fred Sands/Coldwell Banker organization. He later co-founded the Sotheby’s Realty Brentwood office. Richard specializes in acquisition and sales of homes on the Westside of Los Angeles. He ranks in the top 1% of brokers on the Westside, in California, and the Nation. After graduating from Cornell, Richard received an MBA from Binghamton University.
Welcome and introduction by H. Pike Oliver, Senior Lecturer and Outreach Director for Cornell’s Program in Real Estate. He will provide an update on Council and Real Estate Program events and activities at Cornell.
